From Balzar, Ecuador, to the world.The Arriba denomination is given to a variation of the national Ecuadorian Cacao from Balzar in the Guayas region. It is a type of cacao that is unique to Ecuador and found nowhere else in the world.
National Cacao de Arriba is characterized by a very short fermentation process; it produces a smooth chocolate with a pleasant flavor and aroma! Which is why it is also recognized as “Fino de Aroma” or Fine aroma.
It is acclaimed for its fine aroma and complex flavor, often described as having herbal, floral, fruity, and nutty notes. These qualities render it ideal for the production of high-quality chocolate and other cacao derived products.
It is highly regarded in the fine chocolate industry, especially for its floral aroma and its taste, denominated “Arriba”
Ecuador is the first and only country that exports the National Cacao de Arriba worldwide for its high quality.
Harvested from 150-year-old cacao trees that still fruit to this day.
